I am pretty sure that all of my plants enjoyed this sunshine. I counted all of my plants that I currently have, and I am at 18 plants now. It does seem like a lot now that I think about it. In the windowsill are my herbs: Sweet Basil, Chives, and some Rosemary seedlings that I planted not too long ago. On the kitchen counter are the houseplants: Lucky Bamboo, my 4 Phalaenopsis Orchids, the 2 lithops plants, Peace Lily, Dracaena Lemon Surprise, and the Purple Waffle Plant. There are a few plants in the living space that are not pictured above: Golden Pothos, Syngonium, Mother in Laws Tongue, Aloe Vera, and the Purple Wandering Jew Plant. I love every one of these plants as they continue to thrive and advance. I hope that you all have had a great month of July. I will see you all again in August showing some more updates and discoveries. Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and see you soon!

New Swirly Lucky Bamboo
Hello all; I hope that you all are having a fantastic day! We are over a month into the summer season! Lately it has been unbearably hot which comes with summer definitely. As for the garden, everything is still doing great. The plants are continuing to flourish amazingly! I do have a new addition to share with you. Here it is:
It is a Lucky Bamboo plant and I love these a lot! This one in particular is the curly or "swirly" kind as I like to say. I purchased this plant from a local mall. The red bottle that the plant is in was a clearance item from Michaels which was a great find. This plant is on my countertop that gets daily western sunlight filtered through the blinds which is ideal. Lucky Bamboo or Dracaena Sanderiana plants do not like harsh, direct sunlight which can make the leaves fade, and affect the plants growth performance and health. With that in mind, it is a great idea to avoid south facing windows with these plants. A very convenient thing about Lucky Bamboo plants is that you can grow them in soil or in water. My plant is currently growing in water; later on I might try to grow it in soil. If you're a beginner with houseplants, I would definitely recommend getting a Lucky Bamboo plant. They do not require a lot of care to grow properly which is a plus! I hope that you all have enjoyed this post on my new curly addition to the garden. If you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate, and leave it down below. Thank you all for reading this post!! :)))

Awesome Blooms
Hey plant lovers, it is now July and there are so many great things in store for this month! Lately I have been venturing through garden centers to get new ideas for my garden at home. I also loved the amount of color that I have came across. Here are some beautiful marigolds showcasing off this amazing shade of a yellow-ish gold:
These look amazing! If I had an outdoor area to garden in, I would have gotten these. The next ones that I saw were some brilliant purple petunias:
These purple blooms against the lush green foliage is very enticing and these are all so beautiful!! Both of these plants are great additions to have actively in your garden this time of the year. Marigolds are annuals, meaning that by the next growing season you may need to replace them. Petunias on the opposite side are perennials. They can last for at least two growing seasons. Both marigolds as well as petunias love an abundance of light to thrive very well. Great locations for marigolds and petunias are in hanging baskets on sunny porches or in a flower bed. Hopefully in the future, I can have an outdoor space to grow some marigolds and petunias. I hope that you enjoyed today's post! If you have any comments or questions, feel free to leave them below. Have a great first Monday of July!

Gifts on Gifts on Gifts
Happy Tursday folks, today is the official last day of June. This has been a great month for my garden. This month has marked the fourth anniversary of when I first started this blog back in June of 2011. It's still quite unbelievable. For today I would like to share some new additions that were recently given to me as gifts. These came from my older brother who came to town from Ohio this past weekend. I thank you for these in advance. Here is the first plant:
This is a Purple Waffle Plant or Hemigraphis Colorata Exotica. This is a very beautiful plant with those glossy leaves! I have never a plant like this variety and I'm excited to see how it will do. It is currently sitting on my kitchen counter in a location with filtered sun. The next plant that was another great surprise was this plant:
Please pardon some of the sun that is in the photo. This plant is a Peace Lily or Spathiphyllum. I absolutely love these kinds of plants! This peace lily in particular has a fresh set of blooms on the way, which is what this plant is known for. This plant is in my living room in a western exposure. Peace lilies do not require a lot of light. I would not recommend placing a peace lily in a very bright location like in a south facing window which would most likely cause the leaves to fade. A northern, eastern, or western exposure is more ideal. I love this plant and it's getting settled in to its new home. The last plant but most certainly not least is this amazing epiphyte:
The color of those blooms are so enticing! I am currently looking for the perfect spot to place this phalaenopsis orchid, this is its temporary spot for now. Over the years, I have gotten better with taking care of orchids. Hopefully when this orchid is done blooming, I can get it to rebloom. The medium that this orchid is currently in is tree bark. I have one other orchid in tree bark, and two others in sphagnum moss. My orchid collection is getting bigger which is very exciting! I thank my brother for getting all of these amazing plants! I hope that you have enjoyed seeing the new additions to my garden for today and I will see you in July with more to come. Thank you for reading!

Basil and Chives Update
Good afternoon everyone, I hope that you all have had a great day so far. For this awesome June day, I would like to share with you the progress of my herb seedlings that I planted back in mid April. They are basil and chives plants; here is a photo of how they are doing today:
The basil plant is on the left and the chives is in the right. Out of these two, the basil seems to be doing the best, while the chives is not showing that much progress. I really hope that the chives plant will be okay. Hopefully it will. On the other hand, the basil plant is doing great! I can even smell a hint of basil aroma from the foliage. The basil has a lot of new growth, which I am very pleased to see. The seedlings are both in my kitchen window that faces west. If you have any tips on the chives seedlings, feel free to leave a comment on this post. I know that these two plants are going to advance even more! I hope that you will have a great rest of the day! Thank you for stopping by!

The Sansevieria is Growing Up
Hello all and I am pleased to say that it is now summer! The days are longer now for sure and the weather has been very warm and steamy. In my garden, everything is growing a lot now than ever before. My sansevieria trifasciata plant that I bought back in January is now showing a lot of new growth:
The window in the background is a west facing window that allow the sun to shine during the afternoon and evening hours. I love this plant and it does not ask for a lot in terms of care. You'll have to try really hard to make this plant unhappy. New growth is appearing. As you can see in the photo of the plant above, there is a new sprout coming! This is so amazing! My sansevieria or 'mother in laws tongue' is clearly showing that it loves summer! In the colder months, it did not grow as much as it does now. Currently, I am watering this plant from wet to dry on a weekly basis. I did give this plant a pellet of houseplant food a little while ago, which will help during the rest of the summer months. I still have to give this plant a name which I am still having a challenge on deciding. Well I hope that you enjoyed today's post on the mother in laws tongue's progress. I know that there is more in store in the future for this plant. Thank you all for reading and enjoy the first full week of summer!

My Plant is Going Crazy!!
Happy June Dynamic Gardening readers! This is a very special month as it is the 4th anniversary of when I first started this blog in June 2011! It does not even seem to me that it was that long ago. These years went by really fast! For my first post for this month, I will like to share with you my Wandering Jew plant or tradescantia pallida:
This plant is growing everywhere! It was much smaller when I first bought it back in April of this year. Here is a photo from when I first bought the plant:
The Wandering Jew is the plant in the very right of this photo. This plant does not ask for very much for it to thrive properly. I tend to forget about this plant from time to time and it seems to like that. Wandering Jews are one of my favorite plants mainly because of their purple foliage! I absolutely love purple plants! I am wondering if this plant is going to try to take over the countertop in the future. Well we will see about that. Thank you all for taking time out of your day to read this blog post and have a wonderful day!
