Flowering Plants: Purple Heart Wandering Jew
Here's my newest addition that I found at my local gardening center. I've been looking for an all purple wandering jew plant and finally found one! It has been blooming continuously since I bought it over a week and a half ago. This is a beautiful plant that makes a bold statement in the plant world. Now my zebrina has a sibling now. The zebrina is showing in the picture and keeps growing and growing to be an adult plant and no longer a baby plant. The purple heart wandering jew is an awesome plant with its unique foliage and can be great for a first plant to care for. These can tolerate different lighting situations and water from wet to dry weekly, well that's my plant. Thanks for reading!

Update On My Aloe Vera Plant
Here's my aloe vera plant. I've forgot in previous posts that my plants name is Ester the aloe. She's doing really well and is growing really fast now. I repotted this plant over a month ago because it was pretty much pot bound so I found one at the store that is identical the old pot but slighty bigger. This plant of mine will be two years old in July of this year (2012) and it has really transformed in terms of size and health. I water it once a week now that the days are longer and the weather is much warmer. This is my first ever aloe vera plant and I'm happy with my success! Well thanks for stopping by and reading; I really appreciate it.

Friendship Plant
Here's my friendship moon valley plant and my african violet in the back that is doing great! Sorry about no posts from the last month of April due to my very busy schedule. I bought this plant at the beginning of April 2012 at my local walmart and it has grown ( taller in particular) a lot. These are best suited to grow in low light environments as strong direct sun can damage the foliage. As for watering, it can go from wet to dry 1- 2 times a week. My plant's leaves droop a litttle letting me know that it's time for watering. And I did recently fertilize this plant also. It's currently sitting in front of an east facing window and doing great. This plant looks unique and can serve as an accent. Thanks for reading!

Wandering Jew Update
Here's how my wandering jew plant is doing today. I occasionally take it over to the sink the spray the leaves. This plant has been added to my top ten most favorite houseplants to grow. This plant started from many unrooted cuttings and you can try this at home also. I water twice or three times a week and its just growing and growing with no problems and this help decorate my apartment serving as a live accent with the wonderful colorations on the leaves. In the future I am going to grow other varieties of this plant including the purple heart wandering jew which looks very cool, these are great plants to have.

Warmer Weather: New Growth, Update
Hey, happy March to everyone and thanks for reading. I know that its been a while but now will resume with more frequent posts. For today I will give you an update on my aloe vera, prayer plant, and ZZ plant.
Here's my aloe vera getting indirect sunlight in my east facing window. This plant came in handy as not too long ago there were mosquitos everywhere outdoors and I happened to have gotten bitten and the aloe gel help heal them quicker. It's growth rate is starting to quicken as the days get longer heading into the growing season and here it is; looking very healthy and happy.
Up next is my prayer plant; and here it is:
This plant is doing really well with me considering that this is my first ever prayer plant that I ever had. It has really grow since the previous post about it and is now starting to trail. This plant is cool as night approaches; the leaves close. As it gets larger and grow even more, I am going to transplant it because it is still in the same pot that I purchased it in. And it loves the eastern exposure and doing great.
And up last, but not least is my ZZ Plant:
It grew so far two new stems- a tall one and a short one. It originally had many other stems but last winter's weather killed many of the stems and I was worried about this plant. But after my move in January; I saw new growth poking out of the soil. And over the past month it has grown a lot, and progressing to be a mininature tree. All three of these plants are doing great right now and are great for whether if you're a beginner or an experienced gardener to have.

Dracaena deremensis Warneckii Plants
Here's my two dracaena deremensis plants. The one on the right is the lemon- lime variey because of the colors on the leaves I suppose. The plant on the left is the janet craig compacta variety. I bought them both at ikea in the garden section of the store. I've heard that these grow very slowly but my plants are showing great progress. These are great for low- light situatons that need some lively color that is perfect for them. I do not recommend putting these in too much direct sun or you may see some damage to the leaves. These are great plants to add to your indoor garden whether if you're a beginner or an expert gardener.

New Plant ready for February: Wandering Jew
Happy February everyone! I will like to show you my wandering jew plant for today and here it is:
It's doing great and this is my first ever purple plant, I'm a big fan of the colorations on the leaves. I didn't buy this plant but they were send to me as cuttings in the mail from Liza at www.goodtogrow.wordpress.com which is an awesome blog. I'm really happy with the results of the progress of this plant. They rooted very quickly and make a great houseplant. I'm new to having zebrinas and enjoy these plants.
