Winter has Arrived

Happy Winter Solstice! Today makes it officially the first day of winter and today is also known as the shortest day of the year! In my indoor garden, I am expecting all of my plants to go into a very dormant stage as the temperatures outdoors continue to decrease. Here is how some of my plants are doing as of today:

They are surely enjoying each other's company. I am planning to water less often as in the winter months, overwatering is a number one killer of plants indoors and the consistently wet soil conditions are a favorable breeding ground for fungus gnats. I wanted to do a shorter post for today, but do not worry more updates will be coming. Have a great Winter Solstice!
